BDA appoints new Executive Director

Marketing specialist Annie Macnaughton has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Brisbane Development Association (BDA).

Ms Macnaughton replaces Executive Director Mark Doonar who finished up in the position last month and will now join the BDA management committee.

BDA President Brendan Christou welcomed Ms Macnaughton to the position as the Association marks its 60th anniversary this year.“The BDA is Brisbane’s most influential independent voice dedicated to ensuring Brisbane is the world’s most liveable place’’ he said. “In our 60th year Ms Macnaughton will help manage the BDA’s important role in the creation of a better Brisbane.  “She shares our enthusiasm and passion for the future of Brisbane and is well placed to co-ordinate the next steps.

“Her strategic marketing and business experience will also help the BDA importantly expand and strengthen our engagement with the community.”

Mr Christou paid tribute to the contribution Mark Doonar had made to the BDA in his four year tenure. “Mark has overseen the transition of the BDA from its original roots established 60 years ago, through to a strategic review process to ensure its continued growth,’’ he said.
