Future of Australian Housing Conference 2017

The Future of Australian Housing Conference 2017 is a collaboration between the Brisbane Development Association, Q Shelter and The Future Housing Taskforce.

This four-day event brings together the community housing sector, State and Federal Governments, and the property sector and its investors; and promises to be the only event in Brisbane to tackle the housing issue from the most diverse angles.

With more than 50 guest speakers from across Australia, focused group sessions, multiple keynotes, industry panel discussions and an innovation expo planned, participants can choose to attend a specific day, purchase a two-day pass or attend all four days.

The program covers homelessness and affordability through to housing innovation and design. Key highlights include presentations from Saul Eslake, Jamie Durie, Qld Housing Minster the Hon Mick De Brenni and the Hon Chris Bowen, the Federal Shadow Treasurer.

There will be an architectural challenge on Day 1 to create "Green Affordable Housing" and a fierce debate on Day 2 as to whether or not Australians can still own their home.

The innovation expo which starts on Day 2 will showcase innovations in lighting, heating, personal transport and small housing delivery.  Day 2 is also slated for some big announcements and has sparked the interest of a national television program.

This event will be held the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
